FEATURES / INSIDE THE APP
Go deeper
into Qt.
A generic plugin gives TestHand a view of widgets, QML items, properties and selectors. No source-code changes or linking into your app are required.
NAME THE TARGET
Find the control.
Send the real input.
Qt input enters through the window-system entry points, so focus, popups, modality and shortcuts are part of the test.
Inspect before you act.
Read the object tree, find a widget or QML item and inspect its properties. Target by object name, type or text; supported image, text and item targeting helps with painted or structured content.
Record a familiar workflow.
The Qt recorder translates supported actions into editable .testhand commands. Open them in the player or run them from the CLI.
Keep launch settings explicit.
Some deployed applications replace plugin paths. Supported launchers can preload the same probe library on macOS or Linux. Offscreen execution depends on the application and test.
python3 -m testhand launch -- /path/to/YourApp
python3 -m testhand tree --depth 3
python3 -m testhand click 'QPushButton[text="Greet"]'
python3 -m testhand screenshot --out window.pngLocal testing. Real platform differences.macOS, Linux and Windows support differs. External desktop access may require OS permissions; available targets depend on accessibility support. No universal app compatibility or zero-permission promise.
